Hello, I am new to this whole freelancing ordeal and I thought that mechanical turk is a great way to safely do freelance work. I have made an amazon and tried to make a mechanical turk account and my request seems to have been denied. The message i received is "Your Amazon Mechanical Turk Account has been reviewed Your registration with Amazon Mechanical Turk has been declined. Unfortunately, you are not permitted to work on Mechanical Turk. Our account review criteria are proprietary and we cannot disclose the reason why an invitation to complete registration has been denied. If our criteria for invitation changes, you may be invited to complete registration in the future. Thank you for your interest in Mechanical Turk." I am located in Eastern Europe and I hope that this does not pose a problem for me concerning account creation. Are there any requirements that I am not aware of? Its is kind of hard to figure out what is wrong by looking at the feedback i received. What did i do wrong?
AMT only accepts accounts from the US at this time. It has been that way for several months now. Not really sure why and no official word has come down but if you are not US based you won't be able to Turk.
