Coming back after a few months not turking, suddenly you can withdraw cash at $1 rather than $10 from amazon payments.

I used to wait until I hit $10 to withdraw, and withdrew every time it hit $10.

Now I'm thinking once a day is best? Whatever I have in there?

How do you do it, just curious?

I do it once or twice a day (depending on when I receive payments from a requester), as the transfer through Amazon Payments is approved within the hour for me, and the funds appear in my bank account the next morning. As of yet, there's no limit to how many payments you can request. But if it takes longer for your transfers to be approved and deposited into your bank account, I'd suggest waiting until you have a healthier sum as opposed to waiting for a series of smaller payments.

I do it once a week or when I reach 200.00 whichever comes first.

I cash out when there's at least a $1 in there. So multiple times a day.

I cash out at by 6 my time Sunday through Thursday, assuming the amount is over a dollar. If I cash out on Friday or Saturday I have to wait until Monday for it to get in my bank account, so I usually just wait for Sunday.

Seriously? Not being snarky but do you Turk to just make a couple bucks a day?

I was withdrawing when I hit $50 but let it climb last time to around $250 and now it's close to $300 sitting. I hate seeing it go to zero I guess.

Everyday, at least 3 or 4 times a day. Once when I log on, once at 3PM and than whenever it reaches $1 until 5 PM.

Why would me withdrawing when I get to $1 indicate that I only turk to make a couple of bucks per day?

I get paranoid about leaving any money in my account so withdraw as soon as I can.

Wow, I'm surprised they even allow that. I'm kind of surprised they don't have a maximum number of withdrawals per day. I usually only do it once on Sundays, which amounts to anywhere from $400-$600. That means I've usually got at least $100 sitting around in there throughout the week, but I didn't know there was anything to worry about. What is it that makes you all worry about letting money sit in there?

My first withdrawal from mTurk was for over $800, but since then I usually withdraw every day if I remember to (I can go a week without remembering to). I've had bad experiences with PayPal (which is the type of service Amazon Payments is) where digital products I sold (in Magic Online) were claimed to be missing by the buyer, and his transfer of $380 to my account was reversed. Luckily I didn't withdraw the funds in that case, or my balance would've went negative and I would've been chased my credit agencies.

I don't collect anything on AP other than mTurk earnings, but I am not comfortable with my balances sitting in these types of online accounts. If my account were to be suspended without explanation, or some policies change, I want to avoid the unlikely situation where I can't withdraw my balance. Black Friday in the online poker world taught me this (where millions of players couldn't withdraw hundreds of millions of dollars due to the insolvency of the site). The players had gotten so (justifiably) comfortable with these online sites that they treated it as a guaranteed source of withdrawal of their real-money funds. Unless something is FDIC-insured I don't feel comfortable leaving over $1,000 on there.

I really don't like the idea of leaving my money in the account. I've already had one issue where my payments account was suspended because they "couldn't verify my info" and I don't care to have another "mishap" happen while I'm sitting on a month's worth of bills.

I personally withdraw frequently because mturk money is my spending money between paydays at my real job.

I also don't earn anywhere near as much as some of you though. WHEN I turk, I average ~$6/day because I have about 2 hours in the evening to spend doing it.

I think I'll just stick to daily before 5pm. Chase seems to process those ones to be deposited at midnight as long as I pull before 5pm.

So if you make $20 in a day you do roughly 20 withdrawals (assuming you were paid for everything that day)? Why not withdrawal once at the end of the day?

A lot of my HITs go from pending payment to paid simultaneously, so for example my balance climbs from $2 to $30 in one instant, so I'm sure she makes enough that it bounces to $20 in only two or three instances, not 20

Why? To each their own of course, but I don't follow the logic as to why you would think this is better. Let's say money I transfer out is in my bank account the morning of the next day. Let's say I have $1 on Monday morning, but I know that I will be getting a payment of $4.00 on Tuesday. I don't see why I wouldn't just withdraw the $1 and have it in my bank on Tuesday morning than wait and not have any of the $5 until Wednesday. Of course at the small amounts I'm talking about it probably wouldn't matter, but with all the talk of people being unexpectedly suspended, I like to have every red cent transferred as soon as possible. I hope you can understand this post, it sorta rambled a bit.

interesting to know. I've never cashed out. I've mostly only spent towards purchases on amazon.

That's what I would do, although it's usually not something I have to worry about.

I plan on cashing out every $200-$300 or so. It just gives me more a feeling of accomplishment cashing out at $200 than $20.

My only concern is that abusing the withdrawals per day will eventually lead to us being charged a fee. Withdrawing after every single dollar just seems a little over-the-top to me.

It's not really abusing withdrawals anymore than withdrawing after you got $10 as it was before. That's when they say we can withdraw it, and I assume they mean it in good faith.
