Brand new to mturk, less than a week turking. I have read some people avg min wage or better turking. From my own experience thus far min wage seems impossible lol. Looking forward to meeting new people and picking up some good advice on how to become a better turker.

    Survey Gone Wrong

I just completed a survey, when I got to the end it said your results have been submitted. There was no completion code and the clock kept running until the hit had expired. Makes me so mad. Anyone know of a way I can correct this? Thanks in advance.

Thanks, glad to be here.... I know I have a lot to learn. Geez, last survey bumbs me out. Stinks when your numbers get fudged and it's not your fault.

Sometimes you won't get a completion code - even if they state you have to enter one before submitting the hit. I put in "no code given" or something similar. In the future, you can return a hit before the time runs out. You won't get paid, but it will keep you from racking up abandonments.

    Welcome Hit$Monster!

Keep reading the forum, and you'll find some amazing tips. Many of us have taken surveys that were set up poorly. Sometimes the requester is new and doesn't know mturk very well, so you can email them and they'll fix it. Other times, you're just out that time. As far as what you make, it takes a lot of hard work to get to minimum wage (and beyond!), but it can be done. :)

    Good luck and happy turking!
