My name is Julie and reside in the sunny state of Florida. Amazon is my favorite shopping site and would love to get started with Mturk. Almost two weeks ago I registered as a worker but am still awaiting approval. Is there something else I must do to start working?

When I started in April I was able to start the very same day I registered at mturk. I really don't know what the holdup is for people newly coming into mturk, but you aren't the first one to mention this. You are the first one from the US that I've seen though. Try customer support?
in actuality I started two weeks ago and I didn't have to wait. I'm not sure what to tell you why they didn't approve you yet, but I just logged in from my already existing amazon account. sorry to hear. I agree customer service would be ideal. I hope you get to start soon, it's awesome.
Welcome julie53548! Hopefully, mturk will lift their hold on new turkers soon. Until then, this forum is full of great info to help you when you eventually get started. Good luck!
