Clicking the link above ( https://www.mturk.com/mturk/preview?groupId=2R6UCWY2AOO2X6Z160FGXSCMDOD22W ) saying that I don't have the qualification. Update : I requested for the qualification.. I can do only one HIT for yesterday. Then all expired. oh.. I will need to have 98% to do that HIT ... I am at 97%... ok have to get many more hits for the 98%... ok I am on that...
Hmm, I think the qualification is only for those who participated and did a good job in the first batch of hits. I'm only 95% sure though ^_^
I just requested the Qualification, but I took a peek at a few of the HITs in the interim. They loaded quickly and the instructions appear very clear to me. There may be disagreement about exactly what constitutes a pure "High School Sports" section. On the four HITs I peeked at, one newspaper had no local sports section at all, one had college and high school results mixed, one did have a dedicated high school sports page, and finally one had high school basketball, but no other sports. So I guess my question would be, how are you approving these? If you're using a majority rules type of agreement based approval/rejection, that may be problematic. If you have one worker who takes the time to search around the site to find the correct URL, paired against two others who are just gaming the system, the honest Worker could wind up being rejected. On the other hand, if you're approving/rejecting these manually, that's a lot of work for you. It's a difficult balance. Some requesters set up a separate approval qualification. If a worker has submitted X number of your HITs and seems to understand what you are looking for, you could grant them a separate qualification, and have HITs set up strictly to approve/reject. If you'll be posting thousands of these over a long stretch of time, that may reduce your own overall workload.
In your examples, if you would include the best URL you can find or check the checkbox to indicate "no section found" (or a short comment) you would not be rejected. The only rejections have been plainly erroneous submissions. No URL, invalid URL, lack of URL combined with no checks/comments. It's not hard to spot those. Phobic, if you will send a message (contact this requester, I think) we can get you approved faster. I don't have API access to the qualification requests yet.
Thanks a for the approval of my requests. I gone through the HITs, in many of the site I could see only Sports link. Can you please give us some example of the exact link/url you are looking for in a news site as I have don't seen any link that you want exactly.
Heck, I missed this thread! Ping here when you post the hits. I need the qual also. The fact that you are here, interacting, is such a relief. Even if I get pulled for a bad one, I know I can get it clarified. Thanks, we need more people like you on mturk requester board.
I will post some examples from HIT Instructions and adding one more tip and telling what the great requester is really looking for...
