Agreed on all points. In Rob's defense, he is pretty cheap when it comes to his boots and was buying them at Wal-mart because they get ruined so fast...Don't think it ever occurred to him that if he paid more, they would last longer, but anyway.... I wouldn't really ever see myself with a knife like that. It is absolutely overkill. But would never have to be replaced, and is an amazing thing to own if you are a chef and have $6000 lying around in your way. I doubt if I won the lottery that I would even get on the list. But for rich chefs, it is the most important tool of the trade and having one would be showing off the fact that you had reached that level of showing off.

No one owns the thread. What I post is a way for people to create the thread. I don't magically give ownership of the thread to them, and I don't ownership over it myself. It's not theirs, or mine, or anyone elses to own except the owner of the forum. If you want, I can just put you on ignore, and just ignore all your requests to create the thread from now on. I tried being fair about it, but if you are going to create some arbitrary rules about thread creation that aren't even rules, and harass people, I don't see why I have to put up with it anymore. -- Anyone want to make the thread for tomorrow (4/11)?
