Some are saying the VDX batch was behind. They were supposed to approve almost instantly. Don't know how far behind they are.
OCMP35 let me do about 100 more of the Safety HITs -- might want to check if you were cut off before. They're still no fun, but it was more productive than playing whac-a-mole with Mark Klein.

What did you find? They have some interesting things in TIL and ELI5. I didn't know until list year why Heinz Ketchup is no longer served at McDonalds (or perhaps just my McD's.) McD's said to hell with Heinz after Burger King CEO took over Heinz Ketchup.

Feeling in the mood for taking risks, I just did that Roasted Duck Surveys thing where you HAVE to do the survey before accepting the HIT. Fortunately the HIT was there when I finished (although they say they'll make sure you get paid regardless). The 20 minutes is total BS, not quite sure how long it took. 30 to 40 I guess. Last screen says my total with bonus will be $15.89... fingers crossed.
It's a Ruddy Duck! The HIT says it pays $4.00 plus bonus... but the end of the survey says that the HIT pays $1.00, then the rest comes as a bonus after a few days. The whole thing seems fishy, although I want to believe that it will pay. I'm due 18 whoppers. Easily my largest bonus. Why would anybody pay this huge amount for us to pay gambling games? Somehow, I'm starting to think that Roasted Duck is an mTurker who has become unhinged. He took lots of gambling/game type stuff from other surveys and typed them up into his own HIT. Soon, he will send out the MASS rejections to get his jollies off.

I went for the gusto on a lot of my gambles and paid for it, only got 9 bucks and change. I regret nothing, though. I'm sure this guy's legit, because I was semi-arguing back and forth with him yesterday over email about the dumb setup with the 2 minute timer (and the fact that most turkers will do what I did yesterday, pounce on it before it disappears only to see that you're screwed once you accept it). If he was scamming I'm sure he never would have replied.
