Until you drive a car with water-based paint from the factory, you have no reason to complain about paint problems. Californian industrial line, circa 1975.
It's horrible. I have a love/hate relationship with my new car. I mean it's not like it's some super amazing car or anything, but it's new. (well for the most part. Less than 2700 miles right now) And I would like to keep it looking nice for as long as I can. lol What did you guys get?
We got a 2016 KIA Forte. It had 24 miles when we left the dealership. Now we are flipping out about the money, and everything that comes with a new car.
Yeah I'm not thrilled about the car payment, but... at the same time I like that I'm not afraid to travel now. I'm finding there are a few things I wish I got, like power doors and hatch. Esp since my OLD van had those. But... then at the same time, I'm like... it's not like it's hard to open a damn door haha.
California has been nothing but a cesspool of automotive failure. Water-based paint would literally peel off the car within the first month you had it. No idea why they thought that was a good idea. That plus you would have better luck getting a bomb into an airport than you would sneaking a custom car past their inspections.
Our truck got 12 MPG and this gets 39. I'm ready to road trip, and not have to worry about it breaking. Last year Sept., we got half way to California and the transmission went out in our truck. Now we can go and not worry about it.
I hear ya. On our last trip to FL we wound up crowding into my tiny Civic just because we couldn't stomach the thought of driving a 15mpg truck with 200K miles down there (and as future repairs proved, it probably wouldn't have made it, lol). Drive was miserable but at least we weren't stopping for gas every 2 hours.
I need to update my TM too. Tried the script fix but still won't show a watch button after a batch is done, and for certain pandas it's only catching some here and there like you're saying. Like yesterday with virals, the 2-second panda was only catching one every ten or 20 seconds, but then I just opened the virals page right up and manually filled the queue myself with them showing over 50 available the whole time while the panda still was barely catching any.
Water based paint is still used in a few areas in California. Any other type is illegal because they are are too responsible for volatile organic compound emissions. It's easier to identify because you can see the swirls in the paint. It isn't as bad as it used to be and its the only type legal in Europe for the most part. We will all probably have it within the next 20 years.
my car isn't awesome mpg wise, but kind of limited when it comes to that when you need something to carry 7 people around. I do have that button I can push to make it get better mileage or something but I've been scared to try it for some reason because I'm goofy.
If anyone wants to do it. It's still floating around. Mine was $2.89 bonus + the 50c base pay, and about 8 mins or so. https://www.mturk.com/mturk/previewandaccept?groupId=3N6I2GM9S1NUARRHJ7DZZ4NSI795BG
