There is no way in hell I would vote for someone I didn't want to just because I can. They are stupid for the way they don't allow you to vote for any party up there unless you switch affiliation by long time ago.

If you did the HIT right, id say a good chance. But if you got blocked you probably didnt do it right, so mostly likely would be rejected.
NY isn't an open primary state, which I agree with is not ideal. I did not change my party identification in time to vote how I choose to vote, but I don't know if that would matter much anyway. I have never found a candidate who I truly loved. Not in over a decade of being able to vote. So I always go with the least bad of the options. If you have someone who reflects all your values and whose policies you all agree with, consider yourself lucky. I've never been that fortunate. I'll be voting Bernie for what it's worth.
I couldn't change parties. Actually, I could, but it wouldn't officially change until after the general and I'd still be locked out my chosen party in the primary. And there's no way in hell I'd vote in the one I'm stuck in.
