I just want Masters this year. It seems cruel that I finished my Master's degree in less time than it will have taken me to get Masters on Mturk.
If it's any consolation, I'd gladly trade my masters for your Master's degree. I don't think I even care what field it's in.
I bet the fireworks scared the crap out of a ton of pigeons tonight lol!!!!! i hope the poor birds got their revenge on the cars parked below.
Hey. I know that some of you do things like run Perk and Swagbucks TV all day. When I was checking mturkgrind out for updates about a forum member over there, I saw some discussion about the following site. I have not signed up yet so I am not pushing a referral link. I have no idea how good it is. Some may want to check it out http://rpipas.thwglobal.com/
Education....and my undergrad isn't in education...so in order to use it, I'd have to go to school for another 18 months and get my teaching certification. It works best for our family for me to be turking and at home (and, honestly, I don't make that much less doing this than I would if I was teaching, especially when you consider the convenience factor) but I've basically given myself a really stupid path to a future career if I choose that. Double major in epidemiology and public heath (that I've never used, but a top 10 public university, if that counts for something), 1/3 of a law degree, and a masters in a field I'm not qualified to work in. So if you can cobble something together with all of that, good luck to you
Judging by the poor English skills on the home page, I'm going to go out on a ledge and say it isn't remotely worth it. Shit, if I got paid $25/hour to watch videos as they claim, I'd never leave home again.
I could, but it'd involve working a little extra college magic to reign it all in. Not a bad list, though.
Happy 4th to you too. Didn't feel like going out to watch fireworks. I did last year. Maybe I will next year.
I've thought about going to law school just so that I could get an easier in with wall street. I might be able to make that work.
In DC, you could probably push that towards a policy/hill position, an NGO, or maybe the World Bank/USAID type of employer. Probably some type of in-house pharma job would open up.
I'd love to get a PhD. I basically read all day anyway, and I like doing smart and nerdy things. I don't want to pay for a PhD, though.
Typically you shouldn't have to pay for a Ph. D. Between teaching assistantships and research fellowships, your general costs can be covered unless you linger in classes so long your funding runs out, and even then, if the department likes you enough, they'll find ways to put you to work. Mind you, you'll be poor as dirt if you don't have some other kind of income, and depending on the subject and size of the specific program, these positions can be competitive, but, y'know, just be better than the other jerks and graduate on time.
You know how people like to post those horrible out of focus cell phone pics of fireworks? Spoiler You're welcome.
