Can't Find Our Loving HITs 11/26 This Thankful Thursday!

We were robbed last night. The robbers got my ipad from work... sure glad I didn't have 10k hidden somewhere for them to find.

 

Long story short - on Tuesday, someone used my card details and wiped out my bank account. They paid an AT&T bill or some shit according to my bank. Opened a fraud case, they cancelled my card, and now I'm broke.

Next day (yesterday), called my student loan company, told them hey I got hacked my money's gone blah blah don't take any money I might have to cancel my upcoming payment. Just a heads up. They said okay no problem call us Friday and let us know the status. Verified that they cancelled a payment we talked about on Monday, and I'd let them know by Friday what to do about the payment due on the 29th. Okay cool.

Check my account today - they withdrew a payment they weren't supposed to (the one we cancelled over the phone on MONDAY), leaving my balance like $400 in the negative. Now I have to kick some ass.

Omg I'm sorry. I have never been robbed, but how violated that has to make you feel I'm glad that's all they got from you.

Ouch that's rough. I've used my debit card for literally everything these last few years except for trips to the junkyard. This gives me a little motivation to stop using it as much

Yeah, the thing is I saw two people over on MTG with similar stories - money went missing from their accounts. It's common this time of year. All kinds of stories in the news too of people going on shopping sprees IN STORE with stolen cards and numbers and shit. WTF. Ugh.

 

I really am stupid. Got bored and tried a second qual HIT. It won't submit. Not in Firefox or Chrome. I left them some barely-polite feedback... but it told me it could not leave feedback either.

Brilliant plan -- make a series of 20 qual HITs and put them up survey-style so each of the 20 can only be done once. Except of course if your server goes down or something goes wrong, people are screwed since they will never be able to do all 20 HITs.

Just glad it happened on my 2nd HIT, not the 20th.

After yesterday's we-don't-know-what-country-you-are-in and this nonsense today, the hell with OCMP. Seriously.

Went and visited my Mom at her retirement home and it was the saddest thing I have ever seen. I was sure it would be crowded with families but there was hardly no one there. We brought most of our dinner there so she could see eat with the grand kids and I wish I had known that they didn't make those people thanksgiving dinner cause I would have brought more food. I saw grilled cheese and tuna fish sandwiches being served for dinner.
JUST when I was starting to feel less guilty about her living there...
