Also don't mention the "collecting email addresses for spammers". That probably wouldn't go over well in an interview, either.
Hey you can leave anytime. I just can't have word getting out about the location. Then everyone would want to come in.
^^ beat me to it- we can check in anytime we like, but we can never leave.... And i'm pretty sure you promised a feast last year-- still waiting on my turkey scraps
Hey it's not my fault if your fellow dungeon dwellers got there before you. At least you're not chained to a radiator anymore
Thanks! I'm quite excited to join in the drudgery. Good money is good money. So is this one that'll be around forever? *Please say yes.* Anything I should know going in?
The reason that most people only cook turkey on one day out of the year is because turkey is pretty much terrible. It's also why you have to drench it with gravy, or lather it up with cranberry sauce (to mask the flavor).
I think it's rude when someone keeps prying when it's clear the person doesn't want to go into details about something. Whenever someone relentlessly asks me nosy questions about anything, I eventually say, "Why do you ask?" Usually, they stop. They can't come up with a good reason for their prying. I can't guarantee it will work with some types, but it's worth a shot.
I don't cook a turkey, nor eat a turkey if I can help it. Like I said, it's why they only have one turkey day per year.
The worst part about Thanksgiving is hiding a plate of food you're saving for later only to find out someone else took it
In all seriousness... They started posting more than a year ago and have been fairly consistent but in bursts where they'll post thousands daily for a few weeks and then not post (or not post very many) for a few weeks. How long it will continue - this is mturk we're talking about so who knows. I think the best tip is to work multiple tabs. It helps when the hits are loading slowly and also cooks them a bit. I don't think they're still enforcing it, but they instituted a 20 second minimum time policy for a while.
The reason we only fix 1-2 turkeys a year is multi-fold. 1. It's kind of expensive other times of the year. 2. It's a PITA to fix a whole bird and clean up after it and then there are TONS of leftovers unless you have company come help eat it. 3. It's even more expensive to get just parts of the turkey...much more expensive than chicken unless you're buying it in deli meat form. We love turkey though. Farm raised is better than store bought and wild is best, but I even like the frozen store bought type, which is what I'm fixing tomorrow.
