That was wonderful, a VDX batch with no waiting! First time that has happened for me since their Christmas break. Wish I could stay up late every night if it is like this, but then I'd fall asleep at work and get fired.
i know this is a wierd place to ask this but i don't know where else to turn. tonight i found out my roommate threw out the box my computer came in. she never bothered to ask me if i wanted to keep it. she claims it's in the recycling bin but it's full of crap so if it's in there it's in no shape to use it ever again. anyway the point of this message is she clearly doesn't see me as a roommate and considers this to be her house (which it is, her dad owns it) but i pay her a lot rent each month. i feel like i have no rights what so ever. she doesn't even see that what she did was wrong. she's like a fricking sociopath. tomorrow morning i'm going up to her and saying i want my rent check back since i obviously don't live here (i just gave it to her today so she hasn't cashed/deposited it yet.
I can fully fell You, I gave up on roommates 2 years ago, it's just to much seems to ask to just live me and my stuff alone, best case is always gonna be find someone new or move out it's not complicated just sucks
id say to her exactly how you feel. dont get mad, just say everything you just told us. miscommunication leads to animosity and other issues real quick with roommates
i did tell her exactly how i felt. she had no concept that what she did was wrong. that scares me because what else of mine can she dispose of?
Most people fail to realize that communication is key and that passive-aggressive behavior will get you no where in your relationships with others.
no i didn't. i was just moving in with a so called friend that offered her house to me because i hated the place i was living in. i know stupid, i thought i could trust my 11 year long friendship. but that works for me as well as her. i don't have to pay her rent because i never signed something saying i was going to. i mainly paid her rent to help her with her finances and so i wouldn't lose benefits. only the later seems to help, it seems her spending has increased exponentially with my rent.
The funny part is we turker's have to navigate around all these stupid Req all day long Have You ever noticed how much time that takes. . . .
i knew my last roommate for 20 years and lived with him for 3. i now live alone. just because you know someone well does not mean you can live with them. i think it actually makes it worse.
Then there is probably nothing she can do other than tell you she won't give it back. Did you leave the box outside of your room? If so, she may not be a "so called" friend and just might not have realized that you wanted to keep it and thought it was just trash. I'm not coming down on you or anything. I keep the box that my latest computer comes in and wouldn't want my things thrown away, but my husband never fails to throw it out, even if it is put up in the top of a closet. I understand your she isn't your wife, but some people just don't care about or think about those kinds of things as something you might want to hold on to and don't have malicious intentions.
