What's dark is knowing that Suburgatory was cancelled after a SOLID series of ratings in its THIRD SEASON
It is not often I bail out of a survey on principle (well, other than the I-won't-work-for-slave-wages principle), but the one I just aborted practically had me shouting "Objection! Leading the witness!" Find someone else for your "research". (Not going to say what survey, although I want to; seems a bit too much like revealing survey content.)
I think just saying which survey sucks is cool as long as you don't mention anything specific about it.
Maybe their research was to see how much the presentation of the survey questions can influence respondents compared to the same study with more neutral questions. You never know with these tricksters and their mind games.
On particularly painful surveys, I often wonder whether part of their research is to see how many people don't complete it. And it pisses me off, because if I bail they're getting my survey result for free. I think I return more surveys than I submit, hate the cursed things.
I really like the ones that are like count the roaches then ask me how I felt about counting roaches.
Speaking of lame family comedies, I recently found and binge watched The Goldbergs. They just came back from winter break tonight. It's like The Wonder Years only it takes place in the 80's and is more comedy than drama. Also they relive everything I loved as a child. Tonights episode was their Ode to The Beastie Boys. It's the least lame of the lame family comedies out right now.

Yeah, I generally don't buy the "free data" thing, but there have been some cases where the percent of people returning it actually is meaningful information and that is very annoying. Ethical reasons aside, I wouldn't use survey results I didn't pay for because there is a much greater chance the data is meaningless/malicious/etc. I mean it can happen anyways, but I suspect the threat of rejection keeps the vast majority honest.
I've only watched the Goldbergs out of those. I'm trying to give Grandfathered a chance because of John Stamos but each episode keeps getting worse and worse. I suspect it gets cancelled soon or they get new writers. Stamos plays a dippy playboy really well though.
I am guessing that is why so many surveys ask what I think their research is about. If I know they are trying to manipulate me in a certain way my data is probably not as useful to them. There was one a few months ago that made me do a set of those annoying word association things (which word goes with blue, cloth, cake). Then told me I'd only got 2 of 10 right and that put me in the bottom 20% or something. Problem is, questions like that, when you get the answer, you pretty much KNOW you have the right answer. Dear requester, you're not making me think I am stupid, you're making me think YOU are stupid. Unless of course the point was to make me think the requester was stupid. Hmm. That makes me feel a bit, well...
Speaking of tv shows I caught a episode of married at first sight yesterday, wow talk about a train wreck.
Is it sad that making my meager goal of $25 two days in a row makes me happy? These are my first double digit days since Christmas. Having trouble getting going again.
