Hey guys, I'm in a jam! How would you recommend going about changing my address? I moved into a new house and I need to update my bank account address and my amazon payments/mturk address but I'm afraid to do either because I have heard of people getting their accounts suspended if the addresses don't match. I'm afraid to do it and I've been putting it off too long.. Any thoughts?
Maybe this story will help you make up your mind, when my wife signed up for mturk, she had a problem with the bank account set up and was suspended until she provided a utility bill or something like wise, we faxed it over and I think it was either same day or next she was a approved and ready to go. No hassles or anything Amazon was on top of it.
Change with your bank, then Amazon. I just did it and had to provide proof I lived here (bill in my name, etc) and I was fine. No suspension or anything while I was getting everything transferred.
Ah, good to know. That's an excellent idea, I should try sending them a bill with my new address and contacting them personally to change it. I feel like simply going into my mturk dashboard and changing the address could have consequences.. Thanks, I hadn't thought of contacting them with a bill in hand Cheers!
I personally just moved and I am not going to change my address with Amazon or my bluebird card that I use as my bank for mturk. Luckily I know the people that live at old address so if anything gets sent there they will give it to me. Also have usps forwarding mail. Eventually I suppose I will have to do what Ann suggested. Just want to avoid possible hiccups. I just have my new address in my amazon address book for when I ship things to my new home. Works for me, for now.
