On TOTW, if you can't find any results with reviews / comments in the last 6 months, is it ok to use one of the google results anyway?
Yes, that is the point of using the third party link. IE - Look at the yelp page. No reviews in the last six months, and you couldn't find an official webpage, and it's not a large chain? Closed/Not enough Info
That's what I did. If I couldn't find a sufficient 3rd party review site, then I linked a google search and clicked Closed.
Yes. I link to a popular review site that shows old reviews (or no reviews) and then mark it as closed/not enough info. In the case of there being no reviews, some people link to the Google search results instead of a page with no reviews, and have been told by TOTW that is acceptable. Just remember that you still have to update the address/phone, so you'll still need to click through enough to view that information so you can review and update it if necessary.
