I know exactly what you mean (seeing as how you live in DC). I live in NOVA. Been here for 15 years and I still don't like this area.
It's a change from Ohio, that's for sure. It's hectic and day to day overdrive here. LOL. When I moved away years ago, it was from Columbus Ohio to Cleveland Ohio. I was literally purging $100-$200 a month short every month and eventually had nothing left and moved to cleveland on $1000 borrowed from parents to take a job. I didn't want to move at all, but it was an adult decision that I had to make. I moved here to DC last year. It's crazy here. Had MTurk been around, I could have made $400-$500 a month and not moved to Cleveland and found something in Columbus and have the whole direction of my life change. It's crazy how many more options are available today.
I like his hesitation. "I'm a ferocious jungle cat...I evolved from Lions and things...I got this...1, 2, 3, GO!...oh shit..."
I'm assuming you stay here for job security? This is the place for jobs. That's for sure. There are so many jobs here compared to everywhere else when I was job hunting a few years ago.
you can really live off of 400-500$ a month? I'm not being sarcastic or demeaning, thats a serious question.

No. I was making around $1100-$1200 a month and my expenses were $1300-$1500. The job I had was temporary and I was purging money and couldn't find a permanent full time job in Columbus at that time.
You can back everything up by changing the second dropdown to "ALL" (leave the first one as "---"), using dates 01/01/2000 and 06/06/2015 and checking the "export csv" box and clicking "search". That'll download a .csv file of everything that you can restore from later if needed.
Also, this is what worked for me. Disable ALL scripts. Close any tabs w/ mturk up. Install the patch in Carpy's instructions. Open Mturk. Wait about 2 minuted. (at some point you get a pop up about rewriting DB for certain dates). Click OK. Not sure how long you should wait, but try to wait a minute or so after he pop up Remove the patch script from ampermonkey (should be only script running) Reinstall DB using 2nd link in Carpy's post Reenable all scripts That's how I did it post 1300 - Carpy's instructions http://mturkforum.com/showthread.ph...-Wednesday-for-the-win!&p=1275808#post1275808
