Is it not normally like this? I'd like to be able to hit good numbers and not have to sit here ALL DAY. I'm not against it, I'd just prefer not to do it for the entire day.

depends on what you're looking for. If you want a $100+ day you're going to spend an entire day at it but if you want $10 a day you can do that in an hour or so

That seems about right. I was trying to do the medcrowd batch last night, connection was dropping what seemed like every 5 minutes. I was yelling about marching down to AT&T headquarters and murdering every single employee at 5 in the morning. I'm pretty sure I shouted something about a pox on their house at some point, it's so frustrating. .35mbps download on what should be a 6mbps line right now. And just now, after a 40 minute chat session that went nowhere, a robot just called me back to say they're running tests and then hung up.
I try to keep my use of Mturk on the down low. It's nice that it's available to anyone, but it doesn't exactly benefit me if more and more people start coming here and sucking up all the good HITs that are already hard to come by.
The biggest problem I had was that their modem/router combo was complete shit. So I bypassed the router part of it. Guess what? Turns out the modem part was the garbage piece of equipment. I missed me some Time Warner.

Is it ok to repeat requesters in surveys as long as it's not the same survey? Has anyone been rejected for doing the same requester again? What if it doesn't say, "if you have done this HIT before, do not do it again"?
I normally hit my 10 bucks a day in an hour to two hours, depending on what available. When a good batch is up, i can get more. Ive been doing it like that now for just over a month and I'm around 1400 approved and just over 300 bucks, so it just depends on how hard you want to work it.
Exact POS I'm dealing with, every time the connection drops, it redirects to the modem's error page, which it then permadirects to for whichever site I was using. Mturk (for example) then stops working until I restart firefox. We think we've gotten the kinks worked out on our end though, because we'll get a solid 4mbps sometimes, but it's just horrendous most of the time, probably indicating AT&T is a shitty, shitty terrible company. Man, I had problems with TWC when I lived in san antonio, but damn are you right about missing them.
