I'm starting to feel as if I DON'T have cable. None of my HD channels are even coming in, they are just black. I'm told from google that channels can go out for days at a time while they move them around to different something or others (so technical I know), but that's not acceptable to me. Sigh. I pay too much to TW for this crap. But it was cheaper to get internet with cable than without... (or close enough to make it worth it)
You shouldn't be losing your channels at all, especially not for days at a time. Bitch and complain to TWC til they send someone out to look at it. Demand compensation for the lost channels too. I have TWC as well. I had cable TV up until a couple years ago but my bill was just getting ridiculous. The prices keep going up and I was nearing $200/month. Dropped TV and now just pay $70 for internet, which still seems a bit high, but meh. I have an antenna and Netflix and it's good enough for me.
Oh I'm about to. I was so pissed off last night flipping around getting really mad that I wasn't allowed to watch Food Network or anything else. I could on my tv through the Timewarner site, so obviously I get the channels. I'm already sick of how slow everything is anyway. Just switching channels and waiting on the guide can take damn near forver. It's 2015. Technology and service is supposed to be better but yet my TimeWarner sucks and my Sprint service seems to suck more by the month. lol I'm only at 115.00 including tax and have extreme internet, and it was worth it to me at the time but I'm rethinking all of it. I wouldn't mind if it would all WORK.
Yeah this wouldn't sound like a prank call or anything? Verify a Physician Treats a Particular Medical Condition
my friend called her cable company to cancel, and they ended up lowering her bill by 30 bucks. they really didn't want to lose her. worth a try?
That's what I have done every time except in the end they know you really aren't going anywhere. They know I need them for internet anyway. lol I'm not as annoyed at WHAT I pay as much as I am that what I pay for isn't always working. They fix that and I'm not as pissed off.
My advice to anyone is cut the cable cord, just pay for net. I have AT&T pay 47 a month. Then run out and buy an amazon stick or box and install kodi on it, you could find plenty of youtube videos on this. Then you have access to everything cable gives you and more for a quarter of the price.
Please tell me that Time Warner isn't your only option...here comcast and TW had a monopoly on that shit forever but now with google and AT&T getting in the market the prices have gotten better..
That doesn't matter when you still get charged an arm and a leg for the internet part. as I said before... the only reason I have the cable is because it made more sense to have it. I already know how to access all my shows otherwise. That isn't the issue. edit: I'm not going with DSL either. I had that before and I hated every damn minute of it.
How is the wiring in your house? I would have them send a service tech out and make sure that your signals at the tap are good. If you have a lot of lines and/or they are on a bunch of splitters, you really need to get a rewire done. That will help A LOT as long as the signals on the mainline are good. I would come rewire it for you, but you are little too far away from me.
Don't worry. 1 more year til Trump fixes this shit that Obama has built. Your internet will be flying then.
Try living in the woods in Florida where the only thing you can get is directv and it goes out every time it rains. Which would be fine anywhere else besides FL. Even when you record on the dvr and it rains it just records it going out. So useless.
I don't see a lot of splitters or anything with the wiring that's coming right into my room which is where all the stuff is hooked up to. There is a connector on the cable to make it longer. No idea what it looks like in the basement. I'll call and ask for a person to come out. I'm so fed up with technology and appliances and shit lately anyway. Outlets stopped working in a room. Have to have the landlord come figure that out. My dryer was working again after my bf replaced the high-limit thermostat for me, then stopped working. So ordered two more parts and hoping this is it. If not... it's Home Depot I go cause my patience for this stuff is... nil at this point. LOL
