On the last episode of The Wire. Glad I watched it even though it is a little old. Show is pretty epic. Lot of good insights in the show that I agree with and can relate with.

I love that a cop basically legalized drugs and crime rate went way down. What a surprise.

Man I am officially stopping from doing webs image filter, just got three more images like that one,not only that but in the last month they have had some very questionable images as far as what looked like to be drugged girls being taken advantage of.

Right, employers can have a life insurance policy on employees because they are a "key person" in the business, basically the cost of "finding, training, and lose of income during this time period, to replace the key employee" is what is insured. Like a ceo or something. To get any sort of "Real insurance" you have to take a medical exam, I am pretty sure the employee would notice getting blood taken and turning and coughing.

But other than a spouse, even your mother would have to say it is ok to insure them.

Are you in the US? This is just US law, know nothing of international insurance laws.

I am. And they are not a spouse or a mother, but they are someone who I can prove I would suffer financially from the loss of their life.

I think it's not that it's "no" it's that it's "no, unless you can provide proof of financial investment in their life.

So, depending on how creative you get, you could go almost anywhere with it.

    Dear Fat Women,
    Dear Skinny Women,

Please take your fight to 4chan, where you can do it with pics and everything. I don't care.

    Regards, etc.

    1. No idea for story.
    2. Go to TV Tropes for ideas.
    3. See reference to movie.
    4. Search for movie on Netflix.
    5. Two hours later, GOTO 1.

I don't have any hard facts on this, but I've seen turkers report that they get locked out of their Amazon Earnings account when they have a name change (like a marriage), or even trying to change their email. Changing personal information associated with the account seems to be a key cause, although, who knows, man? It's a turker bugbear, a campfire tale we tell on cold winter nights, when the moon is full, with just enough truth to it to be scary.

I might need one before TV Tropes, too. I've lost hours on that site all by itself.

Right, if they are a "insurable interest" meaning the insures death would be a financial burden to the beneficiary, then it does not have to be "mother or wife" (was just using that as an example) BUT that is only at the time of application, and it is VERY loosely interpreted depending on which insurer you go to.

After application, as soon as it goes in force you can switch it to payout to whom ever you want. Which I am sure is how dogs and cats end up with $1 million in life insurance payouts when their owners die -lol-

For any significant insurance the insurer would have to have a physical, so it would be hard pressed to do it without them knowing anything, even if you had a shady life insurance agent to do it.

When taking out a policy this is the case, but after a policy is issued the policy beneficiary can be switched to anyone.

    Weelllllll hi everyone!

This week I was pretty much off mturk. Bummer, too; I had a run-in with some state tax issues from a state I haven't lived in for years. They said I owe a bunch of tax, including for years I never lived in the state. Once again, please allow my tax issues to be a terrifying example for you. They can take money directly out of your account, they can garnish your wages (without having to prove they notified you first)... unless you live in Texas. No wage garnishment in Texas. I'm considering moving there. [edit, oops, it's not Sunday. Sorry for talking about taxes.]

Also, resetting my goal (in sig) because now I have $500 less than I did a few days ago. Time to get back to turking! Hope the week has been a good one for everyone.

Let me guess... California? :/ grrr

Been there, done that. Paying $25 a month just to spite them, instead of paying all at once. Lived there 12+ years ago and they KNEW where I was, but they "didn't update their tax records" I only knew about it when they took my bank account. I got that back fully (minus the $120 bank fee -grrr again) and then my lawyer told them to bite it. Fines removed, interest removed, $25 a month until the original balance is paid. California is so in debt they are pulling nickles from peoples' sofas. I read some horror stories and was damn glad I only owed under a grand.....

Good luck with them taxes. Thems a biotch.

    Was it off?

I returned one the other day. I could get one line or the other right, just not both. Very annoying.
