its hard to gauge cause I take little breaks in between, sometimes ranging from 1-2 hours. Yesterday I managed to hit $110 starting from 2am till about 3pm actually I started from the time switch, so 3am est to 3pm est with multiple breaks in between
That's about how I do it too. I take lot of breaks to do my tai chi exercises, or take the dog for a walk... plus I have to stop whenever a customer comes into the shop.
OK. That seems to make sense. I wasn't sure if I was lacking time-spent devotion or was just really really picking the wrong things to work on. :0) I've been pretty impressed with the ability of these pennies and nickels to add up. With that said, some days I feel like I sit here too long for what I'm bringing in. I'm sure it will get better with time and experience too. Thanks!

It all depends on what you do during your leisure hours and what kind of breaks you take. Naturally I can't turk when I'm playing with the dog or swinging my arms around in the horse stance. But I can easily rack up the dollars while I watch a movie in the evening or watch the news, etc... sometimes I even turk while playing video games (endless space and civ v are great for that.) I still make sure that I take plenty of time off... I took last saturday and last sunday off (mostly)... and I haven't done a single hit on todays books and wont. You haven't been sitting there too long unless it becomes an interference with your responsibilities... your time is your own to spend as you like. One word of advice though... if you feel like the time you spent hasn't been worth the pay you got, then you need to find different hits to work on. You need to valuate your time... and refuse to work for anyone who doesn't value it at or above the same level and do good work for the ones that are willing to pay you the wage you demand, same as with any job.

Thanks! Great advice. I recently left a "work at work" job and have moved back to working at home. I was an at-home medical transcriptionist for 10 years and left that job to work at a local shop here last November. I work at home now again, so it is easy to squeeze some turk in here and there. I sure wish I had known about it before!! I sat here at the computer half the day for 10 years without turking. :frusty: For the most part, I've been pretty pleased with the money I can make and it has been fun. I don't even mind making less when the HITs are fun. I DO need to be careful not to spend too much time on here when the kids are home for summer and the laundry is piling up. I think it was newbie excitement a little that first week. It was better this week :rolleyes:

Actually, I have to say... after going through an unexpected loss of income, I am wholeheartedly thankful to this forum :kiss: and to Amazon for creating this possibility for me. I feel like if I had to, I could bring home enough income from this to keep the boat floating at least. My income is a secondary income in this house, but it allows for the little luxuries.
