If you'd answer yes, you should try to make sure you have multiple revenues coming in so if one disappears, you still have something to fall back on to. Everyone has a talent of some sorts. Figure out what you're good at and make some money doing it. If you're good at crafts, sell stuff on Etsy. If you can leave your home, you can go to craft fairs and try selling there. If you're handy, offer your services on craiglists or simply by going door to door if you are able to. Technologically skilled? Sell your computer repair skills. Go to an old folk's home and offer to teach the people how to use computers for a fee. Mechanically inclined? Flip cars. I can keep going but you probably get the idea.
And you base that on what? Technology comes and goes constantly. Something bigger, better will come along sooner than later. AI is getting good enough that half of these tasks will be obsolete within the dead. Natural Language Processing is advancing at an extremely rapid pace which will render human transcription tasks obsolete and some point. We are all replaceable.
I agree. If I wasn't a model and my wife wasn't bringing in good income I don't know what I'd do. In reality, 80 to 90 percent if not on this board would make a lot more money in less time doing something like being an Uber driver.
