Cleaning hits aren't bad. I remember they had one batch where the tree's were already filled out that was ideal lol
I've learned over the years anytime a hit has 'fun' in the title to avoid it like the plague.. Title: Fun Survery About Jay Z and music (5 - 7 Minutes) Requester: Oregon Researcher [ A3JG43JLET2NUM ] (TO) TO Ratings: No Reviews on Turkopticon (Submit a new TO rating for this requester) Description: Requires taking a webcam photo of yourself during survey. For people who have at least heard a few Jay Z songs. The survey will be mostly about Jay Z. 5 to 7 Minutes. yeah, it was a slider asking how sure you were. Well, if you input it for me, I am pretty sure it was right. I did find a few that weren't, but overall, they were good. averaged out to less than 10 seconds a hit.
Add to that the Interesting Questions hits that pop up too. Last one that I did that had that as the title asked me questions about if I would accept this much money now or this much in the future about 50 times. NOT interesting. You want interesting, you need that hit that asked questions like if I found roadkill on the road, and no one was looking, would I rape the dead animal. THAT, my friends, is an interesting question....
Hey, just realized a good use for the new requester option to hide hits if you don't have the qual. A requester screwed up a hit and put up a compensation hit and hid it so they didn't have to worry about people accepting it that shouldn't. Hmm, but they'd still have to assign a qual - so maybe not all that different.
You know you want to, autolist. I'm not sure where to ask about this, but has anyone worked with Kenta Hirai writing articles recently? I've been doing several HITs weekly for him since December and then suddenly a couple of weeks ago he completely stopped responding to me. He said they were moving to Upwork and to create a profile to apply to their jobs their- but I haven't heard back on that either. I'm just wondering if anyone else has been figuring that out, too?
He's probably cherry picking the brightest of his pupils for promotion to the new platform. By which I mean he is looking to avoid fees. I worked for him way back but was never a fan. Did you try messaging him on the new platform? He may not be using this one anymore.
Never did work for Kenta, but I know tons used to back in the day. If they moved to Upwork, you're going to have to submit bid proposals to get work. But it's easy to set up an account and build your profile. You also set your own pay rate (though you'll have to negotiate with clients there on that front and bid against others who may undercut you). Bit different from working on Mturk.
There's still fees on Upwork. I think. Shit I dunno what they are, though. Never looked on the client side.
I might be wrong. I think the freelancers pay the Upwork service fee. Probably why I never fucked with that shit too seriously. Edit: [h=2]For Clients[/h] Each time you’re charged money on a contract, Upwork receives a share in the form of the Upwork Service Fee. This fee is paid by your freelancer. All rates, bids, and charges you see as a client are inclusive of fees. Seems to be 10%. So you need to work that into your proposals so you earn what you actually want to earn on projects.
