1000 opens up some surveys and some batches 5K opens up set masters and some other stuff 10K opens up OCMP Also it gives you a buffer incase yo uget motherfucked by a requester.
Hang in there! Mturk is so worth it once you get the hang of it and you get your numbers up. Some requesters will set qualifications based on how many HITS you have approved and that's where those numbers come from. 1,000 to me seems to have been the biggest jump in what I was able to do. I recently completed 5,000 and there hasn't been a significant difference, but I have grabbed a fewer higher paying surveys that required 5,000 approved. As for 10,000, I have only seen a handful of HITS that I'm not qualified for based on numbers alone. Having said that, I started last December, never focused on numbers, and didn't know about a forum, or anything like that. I just wanted to make some extra money. You're in the right place. Hey guys, I dont think i am turking right. Is it that you have to have masters to make over say 400 a week? If not what am I doing wrong, what hits do I need to look for and at what time during the day is most important to turk? need help
There are some who do that without Masters. But it's all really about being in the right place at the right time for when the better paying stuff drops. Well, that and a combination of knowing your requesters, scripts, and tools. There is no specific time of day. There are very few (if any) requesters who post on a set schedule. But if you aren't turking, you should at least set up and run Page Monitor with a few of your favorite requesters in another tab so you could jump in if they post.
I have been turking for a year an a half now, im at 23000 hits, how ever i cant seem to see results like you guys, over 3 or 400 in a week, the most i have gotten is like 160 in a week, and that was doing hits morning til night everyday for the week

quit. a lot of people do 23,000 hits in a few weeks or at the least a couple months. 23000 hits for 1.5 years if you've been working day and night is awful.
I have been turking for about three years. I just got masters. I am going to turk mon/friday after the holidays. If I make 200 a week I will consider that a good result. Anything else is gravy.
I did 80 dollars yesterday. It was a long rough day, but I'm at my in-laws, and I'm trying to stay out of trouble. So, part of it is being right place right time for hits, grabbing quals, and keeping a PM going for the hits you like to do.

I think my best week so far... I should probably do a lot more batches... Most of my 4400 hits have been surveys. Start looking out for quals more often. Last week was nothing special but if you had a few OCMP quals then there was a lot of money to be made.
