I'm working on SubjectiveLanguageIncorporate hits at .55 a hit. Some of them are difficult to figure out but worth the effort. You need to get qualified by taking a test first.
NPR's Planet Money's Episode on Mechanical Turk http://pca.st/dAJV Edit: Holy crap, they interviewed some super fail turkers. On the other hand, if they keep putting out the stupid myths of impossible to make real money, there will be less competition. One thing this podcast reminds me is that Amazon SHOULD adopt the Uber model of the end user review. We should be able to grade Requesters and if their rating falls far enough they should get taken off of the platform. Otherwise, Amazon fails to leave workers with due consideration making the contractual interaction lopsided towards the Requester.
Thanks for posting that pdrmturk. It was kind of painful to sit through lol. It looks like Turking is going to stay a mystery to the masses. Everytime I see one of these it's represented like any other home based crap or get money online stuff. Like you guys were saying, it's probably a good thing. Here something that came out a few months ago, http://gizmodo.com/my-brief-and-curious-life-as-a-mechanical-turk-1587864671

So much derp: What gets my goat is that you don't really see positive PR from Amazon's end. This crap is written endlessly and almost encourages Requesters to come in with the idea to pay nothing because "haha, just messing around for a few bucks". They really seem like they couldn't care less about it. Meanwhile they have a pretty good platform sitting there underutilized. Sure, it's a blip on the radar when it comes to Amazon's revenues but why not try to run somewhere with it. Now, more than ever, companies need to crunch massive amounts of data into useable information. Crowdsourcing is the perfect way to do that, even if it's to being building a computer model to analyze data in the end.
