Just an early heads-up to the community that we will be posting a batch of transcription HITs in the next week or so. If you have any questions I'll be checking on the board occasionally between now and then.
HITs are going up this afternoon. Be on the lookout, you should be able to find them by searching for "aaas"
I'm preparing a few more batches similar to the last. Look for them to go up sometimes next week (as early as Monday).
It will be Monday (Feb. 7) at the earliest. I don't like starting jobs on Fridays since there's a chance I won't be available to answer questions. Right now I'm planning on posting the first batch around noon (EST) on Monday.
Great Brian. I am looking for them. Is there a qualification that we need to take to do these? I am getting my fingers and toes ready to type away like crazy.
It doesn't seem likely. We're grant-funded and we've spent what money we have for this round of testing. Our researchers are looking into the possibility of computer-based testing in the future. If anything comes up I'll be sure to post a note here.
That's correct. There's always a chance we'll want to survey a larger student body, which would require paper-based testing. But it looks like for the work we're doing now we'll have a large enough sample using computer-based testing. Thanks for your work on the HITs.
