Cats don't think we're morons. It's a delusion among cat owners that they're laughing at us or they like to make our lives miserable. People can't accept that they think differently from dogs, and they make up these fantasies about cats hating us. It's bullshit. I've had cats for 44 years and I know.

 

It's a joke Parro..pleeze don't start with the negativity and hating

 

Now I can't sleep after having watched Atonement. Deeply disturbing. It took her 50 years to find a way to atone for a childhood sin, not sin in the religious sense, because I don't believe in a Judeo-Christian god, but a very deep wrong against those she loved.

 

The opposite, loving. I think cats are wonderful, but I hear other cat owners saying such awful things about them. Someone wrote on another of my forums last week "They love to torment us."

I'm a dog person myself. I don't have anything against cats though. I had a neat Maine Coon in high school that my mom still has. He's about a million years old now and is still pretty frisky.

 

The first night Anthony was here, I taught him to answer to his name. Now he knows "Not yours," "play nice" when he teases Coconut. "That hurts." "Come up and sit on my lap." "Let's cuddle." "Let's go to bed." He's the 3rd extremely bright one I've had, of the 7. I've been very lucky in that.

There are myths about dogs too, that they hate cats. In every household I know with a dog and cat, they get along just fine.
