Right? And the thing is, if you missed that random October deadline, the state doesn't *actually* change your affiliation until after the next general election. So even if you changed back in November, you're still going to be stuck in your current party until *after* the November 2016 election. They take your form, lock it up in a safe until after the general, whip it out, and change it next year. Thing that made me mad is I had to really dig for that info. I assumed I could change through that March deadline because the wording says register or change. Well...the fine print says differently. *rolls eyes*
Aww kitty! I'm glad the kitty still had a pretty good outcome. They really are too hard to resist. ;.;
I think it's shitty as hell that they require people to choose a party to affiliate with in the first place. I personally don't identify with any political party and would be highly pissed if I was told that I couldn't vote for who I wanted to just because I was registered for a different party. I don't recall this ever being an issue in prior elections, or maybe I just wasn't paying enough attention...
I can remember it being an issue, but not as big as it seems now. And I have never heard of any state backdating it so far while letting people newly register for so many additional months.
Only in primaries. Open primary states - party doesn't matter. Closed primary states (like NY) - if you aren't Dem or Rep, you can't vote at all. You get turned away at the polling place. If you're Dem but want to vote Rep, can't unless you switch way ahead of time (last year, apparently). And vice versa.

I just got an achievement for trying to make coffee with water from the toilet. Video games really are a bad influence.

Has someone invented a back massager you can attach to your chair and lean against while it does all the work for you yet? I don't mean one of those creepy neck things either. I mean like a super comfy chair pad that has rollers or something that move across your whole back. Ahhh. Wtf is this?
I prefer to have a smallish girl walk on my back, but that's a story for another forum. Doesn't Homedics make something you can attach to your chair? Yeah maybe one of these: http://www.homedics.com/massage/back-massagers.html P.S., I will reply tomorrow, I am finding this damn dog and going to sleep.
