Oh, and I forget this nice option: If you burn Lubuntu to a disc, you can try the software out without installing it. You can download the newest version, Lubuntu 15.10, from this link: Lubuntu 15.10 You should probably download the '32-bit PC (i386) desktop image' link if you have an older computer. From there, pop in a blank disc and see if your whatever CD-burning software you own can burn the image to disc. Who knows, maybe you'll hate it, but it might work better for your hardware.
