So if the last school day is mandatory we ignore it? Because in the instructions it says mandatory days trump all other days.
I have been marking the day after the the last day of school as the last day of the calendar and putting a note about it. There are A LOT like that.

I'm pretty sure if the last day of school is the same as the last school calendar day that it's fine to mark the next day as the last calendar day. It won't let you submit the calendar unless you have a first calendar day, first day of school, last school day, and last calendar day. Since you can only use one tick per calendar day, the only possible way to complete the calendar is to do it this way.

shouldnt the last calendar day be the last day of the month? example if last day of school is june 5th 2013, then the last calendar day should be june 28 2013 since that's the last clickable date of that month.
The way I read the instructions, the first and last calendar days are literally the very first day that appears on the schools calendar and the last day that appears on the school calendar.
Not necessarily. It's the difference between the last day of the calendar month and the last day of the school calendar. I hope that makes sense. Anyway, I think todes is right.
I believe you are doing it wrong. Look at the example Dustin gave as the first calendar day, it is way before the first day of school.
