Hai, I have been with mturk since 2012 . past 4 months i noticed the number of hits are low . making 5 dollar per day is tough..is it same for everyone. ? Thanks
same here. recently mturk increased requester fees. so many good requester left mturk and migrate other websites to finish there hits.
I too feel the heat ..more workers...less hits...more and more requesters started including location clause...workers using automated scripts to grab hits ..may be these are reasons..wait for the turn of the tide..
i would list the following: 1) When the astronomical rate fees hit non-master Mturk requesters, it led to an exodus of some big requesters and deterred never-to-be-seen potential requesters (as they've turned to doing things in-house or just sough different platforms). 2) The exodus of foreign requesters about a year and half ago. Even though Mturk has opened it up again to some foreign requesters, it's not as many as in the past. 3) Requesters can now hide their hits from search results. Yep. So if a requester has a set workforce, then can hide the hits so nobody but those qualified can see. as for the rest of the reasons, same as the one's listed above: 4) More workers, 5) more scripts for quickly capturing hits (and finishing hits more quickly)
The way more and more requesters including the "location clause" even for low paying hits ,I presume that they are being given some incentive byway of discount on their charges for including "location clause".So it seems that the future of Indian workers are not so bright here.
