I understand the frustration with having requesters who are approving hits hidden and their ranking lowered.

There is now a box where you can click and it shows that the hits violate the terms of service.
This shows up on the TO website, but not in the popup on mturk. The decision was made previously that when a requester does not follow the rules of Amazon, they should not have a positive rating regardless of if they pay or not.
Like I said, if you are going to have rules, they have to apply to everyone.

At this point, reviews that are flagged as a violation of TOS will not be removed from rankings.
The coding on the popup on Mturk is going to be reworked within the next week so that if a requester is violating Amazon TOS, you will know it from the popup and you will be able to make your own decision to work for them or not.

This code is a remnant of some tracking that was being done in the past but because of the complexity, it was never rewritten. The tracking was removed after multiple user complaints, but the code was not altered.
Hopefully this clears up some issues with the site.

I say they will not be removed unless a moderator or admin feels the requester is a scammer and trying to boost their own ranking to manipulate workers into working for them.

I'm going to apologize out loud and in public if my first post was harsh.

    Inner me: If Tai?

OK, it probably was. I might as well have called you a virgin who can't drive. RIP Britt (Link for those who don't get the reference).

While I still disagree with hiding ratings, I really do appreciate TO and the work the moderators do. I still recommend TO to my fellow noobs. I tired to be sarcastic and/or witty (if she really did kick your kitten, I'll kick her butt), but on the Internet it can often just sound mean.

I like the new TOS violator tags by the way. I prefer that to just a negative rating. Like I said before, I work for a TOS violator. However, I researched them before giving them my real name for their NDA. It's good to know you guys respond to feedback...even if it is way harsh. :p
