When you come up with foreign languages.. do fill only the field with the English ones... I came across with some chinese card and seen some English details...so me filled only the English items.. For the case of some other languages which have similarity with the English language with some more markings here and there like this "Lúcio Aneu Sêneca" then I will google like this "Lucio Aneu Seneca" and I will get "Lúcio Aneu Sêneca" this in google results and will copy/paste that... hope this will help you.. for more info.. Hello Riazam, sorry for delayed response, I have one more question, when I view a card sometimes only the email field is blur (what if any field is blur?) and sometimes it contains hand written text. How to deal with those cards. I have one more question it has nothing to do with oscar thread, but related to mturk. It has been 9 days I joined mturk and still getting "There are no HITs available for you at this time. Please try again tomorrow." I am limited to 100 hits. How can I overcome this limit or when will this limit gets extended or how can I get unlimited hits. you are helping me a lot and thanks in advance.
It's ok.. Delays are expected... even I was in some delay to answer I was busy ad out of Internet... Happy to hear that my answers are helping you in good regard...Please note that my name is RIAZ... ok... OK .. coming to your question... ok when the field is blurry... put 'unreadable' in that corresponding field... put nothing for the numbers when they are blurry... Ok.. for the case of handwritten things... See what that tells... if it tells like Mob: 000-000-0000 some numbers like that then you can take them and put... no worries...if that handwritten thing is a name then you can take that to fill the name field if not there is no other name in the card... Ok... as per the Mturk policies ... I think there is a 10 delays for getting more than 100 limited HITs.... I read somewhere in the forum... So after the 10 days you will be a free bird... hello riaz, this is vasu. i havebeen reading ur posts in this forum about oscar smith. they are very helpful. i also doing oscar smith's business cards. i completed more than one thousand from 3 months. but i did not get enough score for trusted worker. I meet my quality score is 89 and next day it will become 82. it happend two or three times. i haven't contact oscar smith sofar. could u please tell me how many hits will complete in a day for i become a trusted worker?
Hi Vasu, Welcome to the great forum... OK coming to your question. Are you returning the Oscar HITs before? then your score will affects...also for some reasons your score will go down.. ask your doubts that are not seen here... For the case of Trusted Worker Qualification... You can contact Oscar for that ..when you get a 90 score and have done more than 400 HITs... I think after getting to a score of 90 you can now apply for the trusted worker... Good Luck!!
Hello Riaz, I have couple of questions, first I am getting cards which are repeating again and again, Am I doing any thing wrong. second,I had around 1200 oscar hits with score of 91 and 98% acceptance, but still did not get Trusted Worker what should I do?
Ans: For the case of repeating cards. Don't worry about that, you can do that cards no matter they repeats or not. I confirmed that with Oscar. I got one card 5-6 times and I entered all the time the info from the card as it is. So no worries for that case. Coming to your 2nd question . For the case of getting the Trusted worker qualification you can now apply for that as you have done more than 400 cards and too got a score above 90. For that you will have to send mail to Oscar through Mturk and tell your status and request for the Trusted Worker Qualification. After some days you will get approved your request. Good Luck!
how can I contact Oscar through Mturk, I had requested it 4 days back and it says pending, is that the only way or how can I email to Oscar. Once I get Trusted Worker I will be more energetic to work with accuracy. Any ways thanks for your answers.
Thank you for your other thread about communications with Oscar. I do his HITs once in a while and didn't realize what to do when there was a card that I couldn't read. Now I know and won't have to return the hit!
