    Hi,

Yesterday, Primordial released Ooze beta. Ooze is a patent-pending geospatial platform that allows companies to efficiently complete large-scale GIS projects by paying analysts around the globe or within an organization to perform online mapping tasks. Ooze is available at:

    http://ooze.me

I would love to get your feedback on Ooze. Could you take a few minutes to register (home > login > need an account), complete some tasks (home > analyst login > claim task), and send me your thoughts? What do you like/dislike? Are the payment amounts appropriate? What could we do to improve Ooze?

If you need any help, check out the help page (http://ooze.me/help.aspx) or ask me. Thanks so much for your guidance!

    Sincerely,

    Randy

P.S. When you register, you will need to provide your PayPal e-mail address so you can get paid.

    Feedback:

Very well laid out. Simple design and easy to navigate. All Pluses.

Paypal charges a seller to receive funds a transaction fee usually. Transferring funds is usually free if the funds are in the paypal account or bank account the transaction originates from. Unless you are paying us for selling a service? I'm a little unclear on the fees there.

Bullet points are wonderful things. :) It is easier to find information quickly and easily with bullet points.

    Abbreviated Example:
    Workflow
    • Complete a task
    • Analyst accept/reject
    • Client approve/reject
    • Payment

Reading everything when you sign up is essential. Finding key information after that quickly is great. Paragraphs take longer to skim to find the information. With today's wide monitors it can be worse. I work on 24" and 32" monitors and have to re-size windows to read sites that use a wide format.

Consider using a menu in your help area as apposed to the expanding Q&A. Opening and closing each Q&A isn't as efficient and can leave the user scrolling up and down a lot since the sections are quite large.

The green/red feed back at the top is great! Also, I like the fact you can review your submissions.

Jobs Screen. Needs a little more detail or explanation (not necessarily on this page). I'm assuming that Job 225 has 40830 tasks to be completed at $0.02 each. But for someone new it could easily read Job 225 has 40830 tasks for $0.02. Not logical I know. But it is better to have it spelled out somewhere that they are being paid for each "task". Like in mturk we are paid for each "HIT".

Work area is very well designed and easy to use. I would make it clear some where that you can exit a task by hitting "cancel" if that is the preferred way for us to exit the task screen.

I hope this feedback is helpful. I look forward to doing more of your tasks.

Awesome feedback, tcgirl! Thanks so much for your input.

Any suggestions for recruiting more folks to work on the Camp Mackall job? It would be great to finish that map in the next couple of weeks.

    Thanks again for your guidance!

    Sincerely,

    Randy
