I have been working on Crowdsurf Support for the last few days. All HITs have been approved quickly, within minutes...the longest time was around 30 minutes but usually much faster than that. This morning around 6:30 a.m. EST I submitted a HIT and it is still pending. I emailed their "support desk" or whatever you want to call it, and got a nice response saying that if it was still pending by the end of the day tomorrow to let them know so they could investigate. About four hours ago I submitted three more HITs to test the waters - two were approved quickly but the third one is also still pending. Any idea what's going on? Do I have anything to be worried about? I have zero rejections from them and although my QC score isn't as high as I would like it to be, it's at least a 3.0 (3.70 last time I asked for it), since nothing at all has been rejected so far. Is anyone else having an issue like this?
you shouldn´t worry about the HIT. Sometimes they have so many in queue that one gets kinda lost and takes it time.
You have to send them an email and they will shortly reply with your QC score. They will also give you feedback on your rejected HITs, if you ask for it.
Yes, they are extremely helpful and will give feedback on HITs as well as your QC score pretty much any time you ask for it. It's usually a very quick response as well.
Well I noticed when I try clicking into Full Text Review on Crowd Virtualizer, I get a message saying your qualification must be 3.90 or higher. The last QC score on the Crowdsurf Worker google sheet with my scores says 3.90. So not sure why I can't get in. Is anyone else getting that? I'll send them an email later.
I'm not part of the virtualizer, they use to have a link on the mturk hits page that went to another page that explained their point grading system, it looks like it was removed. So for this morning, I did 17 hits, and every single one of them are pending. I tried looking for the only two requesters I know pay right away, oscar smith or 411 richards, and they have both disappeared. So I'm wondering if it's Mturk or Crowdsurf. Propably Crowdsurf, is just not approving them for some reason. I really needed to make 5 bucks today and transfer it fast. First time I needed to beat an over draft deadline with MTurk, and this is when the pending issue happens. Does anyone know of any other requester that pays immediately?
Not sure what's up with CrowdSurf. I had issues yesterday with them. I normally view the hits prior to accepting them, and I would never get the hit I wanted. As far as Oscar Smith, he's no longer on Mturk. Have you ever tried Jimmy Dragon? He pays quickly, although he doesn't have as many hits as Oscar.
Thanks for this information man. I was wondering when are they going to start it, since I read on Mturk that it would start from 18th July. Also, I am not facing any approval issues, and I am still having my HITs approved just as quickly as in the past.
Yes, I have been trying to work reviewing and the last couple of days it has been backed up. Now, either my computer is slow or either they (CrowdSurf) are having issues. I'm sure it will improve in a few days.
That's been happening to me too for several days! In some batches when I click on one HIT, a totally different HIT is what loads onto my screen. I've been returning them because I'm not exactly sure what's up with that. Guess I should send an email asking about it. And they do seem to be taking longer than usual to approve/reject HITs at the moment. Wonder what is up with them?
Anyone else been paid for timing tasks yet? If not, be prepared for a slap to the face. The pay rate is drastically cut with the new pay by media minute and not by the flag format. The high pay rate on those used to make up for buggy tasks that wouldn't submit after correcting as many as 100 flags. *Sigh* the bonus does help though. I'm just hoping that soon they'll label the tasks in media minutes rather than flags because I get really anxious when I can't track what I've earned each day. But all my transcription tasks are being approved just as quickly as usual, so maybe they've worked out all the kinks with the new scoring.
Hope foster, I saw where they (Crowdsurf) was doing something different with the Timing Tasks on the support site. I am assuming you'll get an email about it. I can't work on those tasks yet.
Transcriptions seem to be approving quickly tonight, so maybe they've worked out the kinks in their system. Still no new system for qualifications as of tonight, July 24, and that's the last update I heard. I did notice they updated their guidelines and added two new Sound Quickies. Have a good night; good day!
Just saw that my qualification score is reset to 100. Does this mean that new scoring system is in place? No HITs available to test it out. Edit: Scoring system is finally in place now. My score reads at 949, which means, I probably got a -1 in my first HIT.
YES. I have boycotted the timing tasks, and they used to be good for at least $80 a week for me. PM me please.
