Hello all, I've been turking since early March to earn extra income to supplement my part time income. Since I'm in college, Mturk is perfect way for me to earn some extra change for a few things (mostly computer games) that I don't have to take away from my main budget.

The HITS I did I first was the Crowdsource, CloudFlower, Oscar, and some surveys, it got me some nice chunk of change. Lately I have been trying my hand at transcribing and being the slow typist that I am, but I like it so far as long as I'm selective of the audio.

I hope to contribute to this forum and I know I will enjoy my time here :).

Hey. I'm in college too. I give plasma and turk on the side for extra money too but it is all for traveling. Next year I've got a Europe trip planned for the whole summer. I tried CloudFlower and found one of their hit(s) a little too cheap for my time. I do like CrowdSource though.

Welcome! I started out doing transcription HITs with a typing speed of about 40 wpm. I'm now up to 60 wpm after two months. You can make some great money transcribing on mturk. You are definitely on the right path with avoiding poor audio. I find those HITs tend to ding my grades/bonuses/feedback. I love Crowdwource and have done quite a few of their HITs.

This site is a great resource for turkers. Good luck and happy turking!
