Hey everyone! I see some writing HITs I would like to do, and I enjoy writing, but I want to make sure I am writing they way they want. Is there anywhere I can go to see examples or learn how to write for these. I have done a few for Bruce where I write a small summary of an article and gotten good reviews, so I want to "step it up a notch" so to speak. Thanks!

Hi, Each requester seems to want something just a little different. Most of them put fairly extensive guidelines in the description of the HIT. I look at the word count/pay and ACCEPT the HIT if I'm interested and then check out the details of how they want it submitted. I also keep a copy of that particular requesters description of their HIT on hand in a word document. I always double-check when accepting the next HIT from them to make sure nothing has changed, but keeping that available gives me something to go by when looking for writing HITS. Some requesters also put a website link so you can go and look at their guides much like the transcription requesters. Those help immensely! Good luck and I hope this helped. There were some really nice writing HITs posted today. I don't usually like working on Saturday afternoons- cuts into beach or pool time, but I decided the money was too good to pass up today!

I stop to check out some of those writing requests now and then while clicking from page to page, but I still hesitate to commit. It isn't as if I can't write, so that's not what causes me to pass those hits by. It's the tight time constraint, or what I see as a tight time constraint. I used to write copy for a PR & Marketing director, and I know I can do the writing, but I'm used to getting a week to fulfill the assignment. Gah! I've got to shake out of that and set a goal to get to it and do it! :p

I agree! Seems like many of the good writing HITS pop up in the late afternoon with a 2 or 3 hour window- and by then I'm ready for a glass of wine and to shut the computer off!
