Hey guys. Some of you have mentioned using a drag and drop method when doing e-mail hits. I thought I was pretty tech savvy and i've never heard of this. Can anyone explain how I could do it? Thank You!
I'm not very tech savvy, so I'm sure it'll be a breeze for you. Just start out with a split screen, where you've got two windows side by side. One should be for the information that you want to copy, and the other should be for the form where the information needs to go. Once you select the information to be copied, you can drag and drop to the proper place in the other screen.
Double click next to the email if it's a hyperlink, it'll highlight the email. Next click on the email, don't depress the mouse button and drag the highlighted text into the field you want to populate. It'll paste it there. If the email is plain text, you can double click on the address itself. I personally use a split screen setup and use macros to make the HITs go easier. I set up a macro to copy highlighted text and switch over to the next window to populate a specific field. People were wondering how I do certain HITs faster than others. That's my secret.
Probably what I should have done tonight. I got an e-mail from mturk with a link to a University of Cambridge survey and clicked on it through my e-mail. Does anyone know if they are reputable or should I be worried? I am new and have a lot to learn.
You should be alright. They had a .50 and 1.50 survey up earlier today. But I don't recall having to drag and drop anything in that survey. Where drag and drop comes in handy are batch HITs like those from Imsportz Admin.
