I recently signed up for Linkedin - the free membership, mostly so I could use that site for some of the hits here that require looking up contact info or company profiles etc. I was wondering if I had a paid account would it give me members names instead of just saying Linkedin member when I pull up employees of a company? So far I've been working around this but was wondering if the few dollars for a years membership would be worth the investment if it gave me access to more information than I can get with the free membership.
I have a free LinkedIn account, I didn't even know there was a paid one. Do you mean you're looking up companies & trying to find employee names, or do you already know the employee names & are looking up info on them?
what I do right now is I google search the company name or go to the company website and if they have the linkedin logo, I go to that and it takes me to the company profile usually. If the company profile has employees that are on Linkedin it will say "x number of employees" and I click that. That will bring up a page of employees, I will see pics and usually their job title but no name. I click on the profile and then look at "who viewed them" over on the side and I find the names there. I try to match the pic with the pic I saw or look for the company name in their description. Usually if I can find one person on Linkedin I can find more information with a google search by adding their name with the company name. It comes in really handing with the Steve Schneider hits.
