No it means your account is still up and running, but you already have one warning on it (placed by PED). Should another requester block you, your account will be suspended forever.

I got the same thing, came online to see if this was more widespread and found this thread (and signed up).

I emailed them to see what the &*&*(& is up. Ugh.

Blocks are being lifted they have relized there mistake, just got this email.

    Hi Mark,

We apologize about this. We are currently running an experiment similar to a one you participated in, and this is just a technical way to make sure people don't participate again without making you have to remember when you worked for us. We were not aware of the problems it might create for your account and will not do this again.

We are unblocking everybody at this moment. But please do not accept our current HIT, since you already participated in a similar study.

Thank you and hope to see you in future HITs.

Good, glad to know it was just an unforeseen thing.

Amazon needs to make a way for requesters to have their tasks done just once per person. A toggle box where if checked, it will check when I click an HIT if I did it already, it won't even show me the thing (or the accept button would be grayed out).

Wish I would get an email like that, I was shocked and upset when I got that "blocked from PED" email today. I have a 99.5% approval rating, with only 4 ever being rejected (none from PED research) so I was really shocked.

Am trying to find that other forum mentioned earlier, no luck in finding the thread tho.

Check the Requester hall of fame/shame or the Everyone else section.

We want to let everyone know that we are extremely sorry about the mass blocking - we did not realize that blocking you had permanent effects on your records as workers, and we are very sorry if we caused problems to your account.

We have unblocked everybody, and we have contacted Amazon asking that the blocking incident be removed from your records. We will do everything we can to make sure this is done and that your accounts will not be in danger due to our blocking.

We will never use blocks in the future, and again only did so now because we did not realize the negative effects. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do, at pedresearchemail@gmail.com.

They certainly created a mass panic and lost a lot of potential workers. All for one stupid mistake
