...you know, the people with the HITs where you write a funny caption? They've bonused me more than a dozen times by now, so I wondered what the heck they're doing. And I went looking. We're helping power their app! (See, it says Terrarium right there on the page.) How fun. (Not sure if this belongs in the Requesters forum; seemed more just like a general trivia bit.)
Aaaand, they're gone. They wrote a blog post on what they were doing (studying how to use Turk work, apparently)---kind of detailed, but if you're curious, here it is.
I've written a bunch of those captions and I've seen the app, pretty cool company. They send a 25 cent bonus when they really like your caption.
Sure thing, josh. Right, webaddict4hire. I liked them, too. But as my last post in this thread indicated, they're gone now. No more captions for the app are being run through MTurk.
