    Hello folks,

Yesterday I signed up for Amazon Mechanical Turk and today I got an E-mail saying:

We have completed our review of your Amazon Mechanical Turk Worker
Account. We regret to inform you that you will not be permitted to
work on Mechanical Turk. Thank you for your interest in Mechanical
    Turk.

I am situated in The Netherlands, has it something to do with that? Because I can't find on Amazon's website that it's only for US citizens. And I think that's the only thing they can possible know about subscribers, so for me it's impossible to do anything on the platform unless I move to the States?

    Thanks in advance.

There have been rumors that mturk is not taking anyone outside of the US anymore

Instead of mturk denying accounts or suspending them from international workers, why don't they just open up another branch off of mturk for international workers and tasks/ hits!
There would be no worry of accounts being being denied or closed because of the location of the worker.

It's really not a rumor considering everybody that has tried to open an account outside of the US have been denied. It's pretty much confirmed that Amazon is no longer taking on international workers. Yes, it would be nice to have an international and US platform, but considering Mturk has been in beta for six years or more, I wouldn't hold my breath.

They are not taking in non-US requester accounts as well. I tried to sign up last week and the country field is locked to US in the sign up page. This is absolutely weird. They don't even want non-US money???
