Hello turkers, i did a few hits of venue quality today. i know he is a good requestor. i am also aware of his blocking policy. actually i fumbled one of his hits. i wanted to answer no for a question 'are the two locations same'. i dont what was i thinking but i mistakenly clicked yes radio button. they have strictly mentioned that if we fail on d test questions dey will block even if accuracy score is very high. so my actual question is do they SOFT BLOCK or HARD BLOCK workers? pls advice as i have never had a block in mturk.
They have a quality score which you can see in the HIT description area. Check whether your score got lowered. I think they'll cut you off if you go below 80.
Hey my qualification score down to 50. though i am eligible to take the test again i think they have blocked me. i havnt received a mail yet. so am i blocked or not? getting extremely desperate.
Since they have a qualification value assignment to it...they may just revoke your qual. Infact u dont get blocked u r just made to stay away from the HIT's..May be u can take the test and get qual. again or else not !!
Sorry to hear it. Read their TO screen...it sounds like they might block for a single mistake, although when they are happy, they're fine. You can try contacting them directly by clicking on their name in your Dashboard, on the HIT's entry, although TO isn't hopeful about that.
They do a hard-block even if you have a Qual score of 100, check this message I posted a while ago and also visit their TO
Beware of this requester. I got a hard block a few months ago after completing hundreds/thousands of their HITs. I have seen reports from other turkers in other forums about being blocked by Venue Quality without warning or even a rejection.
I am also blocked by this req 2 months back. Mailed them. No reply. They give utmost importance to one of their test question. Any one who do wrong with it, what ever be their qualification value, what ever be the number of hits they done, this requester will block u.
