    Hi!

I'm in India and new at turking and seem to have problems setting up the money transfer to Rupee checks.

I have already communicated with Customer Support, and at the moment they also don't know what the problem is.

They had told me to set up the sending of Rupee checks on my Account Setting page, but it seems that I don't have any such option on that page.

This is what I see in my Account Settings:

    >>>>>
    Personal Information
    * Change your name, e-mail address, or password
    * Forgot your password?

    Your Earnings
The money you earn is stored in your Amazon.com account.
    * Transfer your earnings to your Amazon.com gift certificate balance
    * View your account balance and transaction history
    <<<<<

    Now my questions are:

    1) to Indian workers: is this what you see as well on your Account Settings page? Or do you have an additional link which I don't have for some reason?

    2) am I looking at the wrong page?

    3) where exactly did you find the link to the page where you can set up the sending of Rupee checks?

I have already browsed this forum and saw that there are others here from India, so I hope someone can help me out!

    Thanks a lot :) Tiger

Hi, First, you need to enroll for payment in indian rupees. On your account setting tab, you shuld be able to see a hyperlink which says "Do you know that you can now.........for indian rupees" click on that link and it will take to you another page wherein you need to provide a proof of your identity, I have submitted my PAN card scanned image. They will take atleast 10 days but after that once they verify the proof, you should be able to see "Click here to withdraw in indian rupees" . Okay, for every withdrawl, they will deduct $ 4.00. Finally, cheques are sent through normal registered mail so please check you mails regularly. You DO NOT have to sign to receive it so be careful. Normally, they say that the cheque will reach you within 6 weeks but generally it comes in less than 15 days. The cheques for indians are paid through CitiBank. Hope, this information is helpful to you

I think you problem is with your country listing. It will be showing US. I had the same problem and you need to contact mturk and they will change it to india. After that you will be able to see hyperlink which says "Do you know that you can now.........for indian rupees" .

    Hi guys!

Thank you for your help, and sorry for not responding earlier!

asvd22 was right: my account was apparently set to another country. I guess to Germany, because years ago I had set up my original Amazon account on the German Amazon.de page (to buy German books). Two months ago I used the same log in id to sign up for MTurk, and I think that's where it went wrong.

Anyway, mturk support sorted it out and corrected it, I have submitted my id proof, and now I can see that link for withdrawing my money in Indian Rupee checks! :)

Thanks imurreflection for the advice re the check, I will keep an eye on my letter box! But I assume if it got stolen nobody else could cash it, right? I assume CitiBank will want to see some id too, is that correct?
