This is a controversial topic, so i'll be short and to the point.

Just like a lot of you i've done thousands of HITs for this requester with ZERO rejects.

I was recently blocked by ProductRNR and had 10+ HITs still pending. I got the block email, and the next day all 10 of those HITs were APPROVED.

    What does this mean?
    No rejects ever?
A mysterious block, and pending HITs still get approved?

IT MEANS: This requester blocks at RANDOM. You might be safe for 10 HITs or 10 million HITs. Many times this requester will MASS REJECT then BLOCK. Sometimes they just block for NO REASON.

You've now been told that they mass reject.
You've now been told that they block at random for A+ 100% accuracy work.

    DO NOT COMPLAIN.

    EVER.

    ....you WILL die....

.... and your children forever cursed ....

.... alone for all eternity with a hunched back ....

.... unable to perform sexual acts with anyone including your hand ....

Basically, if you do the HITs you WILL BE rejected or blocked....

    So...

    STFU

I honestly have NO idea how this scuzzy asshat is even still on Amazon as a requester. I guess he kisses the right arse or sucks the right........ toes.. or something. He's complete garbage and he will never answer a message. In my first couple of days 3 months ago I did almost 100 HITs for him and got 2 wrong, instant block. I checked a few days ago to see if he had ever removed my block cuz I did message him and ask very nicely and agreed to never touch his HITs again. Of course he never replied and the block is still in effect.

Perhaps it's something they do every few months? Just block everyone, and if you happen to have HITs pending your just way out of fucking luck.

I too got caught in this latest wave of madness. My approval rating with them is 100% for the few I worked on. I hadn't even done any work for almost 2 weeks prior to the block notification on the weekend.

This story has a happy ending. I wrote an email to them and pointed out that they must have been mistaken. They didn't reply, but out of curiousity I checked today and the block has been lifted. I am still waiting for the official word from Amazon, but that should be just a formality.

Lesson learned, not only is this requester mean spirited, but they are incompetent. I will not do another of their HITs again, although they were easy money.

C'mon Guys, I'm sorry to hear what has happened. We've got to also admit that we chose to ignore the warnings from our fellow turkers. NONE of us are special in the eyes of requesters like that, just an ID number.

So while I empathize with you and hope things are straightened out, it is up to us to stand together and not discount the ratings from other tuckers simply because it didn't happen to you...YET!!!. AMT is a marketplace for HITs, so therefore like any other market "Buyer Beware".

***Like any other market, if no one enters into business with another it either PUTS them OUT of business or MAKES them change their practices to suit the other. The solution isn't always expecting Amazon to jump and ban requesters, that's the income for their business (and frankly ours as well). They COULD charge us a FEE and then start doing that but until that time, it's up to us, using common sense.***

(This is not for those who were NOT aware BEFORE dealing with these type of requesters.)

Dexster, I didn't choose to ignore the warnings. I am a newbie and didn't find this site until after I did a whole bunch for this requester and got everything APPROVED. Like the others, I have not touched his/her HITS for months and all of the sudden, i got blocked. Huh? I wrote it off as a dumb luck and nothing more. Of course, if I wouldn't have touched his work if I knew about his reputations.

Not directed at you then if you weren't aware of the reputation. If you've been turking for months, then perhaps you should have joined anyone of the forums by now.
If you haven't yet done so add Turkopticon to your browser and check requester ratings when possible also adding to it as well.
There are many resources on here just visit the various sections on this forum. Any questions or help needed is always accommodated on this forum, just ask.

A lot of people don't know these forums exist when they start turking. I didn't and found one on accident a couple of months in.

Did you try one of their hits and you could do it? Or is there another way to find out?

Not doing work for months and then getting blocked out the blue is terrible way for a requester to conduct business. Definitely write them an email.

I'm glad we are getting this documented for the sake of others.

@DEXSTER - Thank you, for sharing the wealth of knowledge. I learned a lot from reading the postings on this forum. I will go add Turkopticon right now.

How can I find out if any requesters have blocked me? If any have blocked me, what does that mean as far as my turking status goes? Does it count against me? (I am new so please forgive me if someone else has asked these questions before). Thanks!
