This started in another post and we would appreciate some clarification from those who are making over $500 a month. Does Amazon require you to have a credit card AND bank account in order to withdrawl your earnings if they are over $500 for the month? Or do you just need a verified bank account? If you do need both, do you get to pick where the earnings go after you hit the $500 limit? Thanks master turkers!
If your in the US - you can connect Amazon Payments to your checking/savings account. then its like paypal from there.
Thats what I thought but I was not sure.. I have a verified bank account but have not hit the $500 a month mark yet.. just didn't want to have a great month and have to wait to get paid since I do not have a credit card..
You have to have a bank account along and a CC attached to your account to be able to WD over the $500 limit. Otherwise your payments will continue to be approved but not paid until the beginning of the next month. If you have both attached then your monthly withdraws will be unlimited.
I do not have a credit card Can it be my bank card it has a mastercard logo on it and I can use it as credit...?
That should work... you mean like a debit card right? As long as it has the mastercard logo you should be good.
Really? I prepaid loadable works? Are you sure about this cause I will just go buy one of them to see if that is my problem with the hits approving but pending for so long. pretty sure I made over 500 other months though with no problem.. that is what is getting me.
2muchTurkin...I added my prepaid account now to my account (I already have my bank account verified) and now all my HITS that were approved pending payment are now paid! So yeah, I guess, if you want to withdraw or make more than $500 a month this is inevitable. I am only in my first month of turking and did not realize this...with that being said ,I did check to see how much I have sent to my bank account as I send daily since my waiting period is up. My first withdrawal was for $197.00 and everyday after that was a withdrawal. In total I have withdrawn 749.00 and was just now having this problem, but it seems to be fixed by adding my prepaid card... ETA...I realize I was very lucky to have had this much success in my first month and can only hope that I can continue to make as much!!
Gratz. I will be grabbing a card tomorrow. Odd thing is I already withdrew $550+ and I checked and I had another month I drew almost $700. Why the problem now? Their system must be messed up a little. Anyhow thanks for the info. I'll be taking care of that problem asap. Already got bank added just need the card then.

You are all BRAGGERS! That is all. Edit: That is not all.. Lulz. Kinda off topic but kinda not - If you actually have a bank account linked to your Amazon Payments, do your HITs get paid quicker? Or is it the same as if you don't?
During the weekdays my Xfers to my bank account usually take 24-48 hours. On the weekends it varies.. sometimes they go right in sometimes they do not post till monday. Hope this helps.
It's was just sitting there. I linked my bank account earlier today and realized it'll take 5-7 days to clear a withdrawal. I'm not sure if it made any difference in stuff moving to the "Paid" status. No matter, still going fishing on Sunday. Fish + beer = catching something either way! Hmm.. maybe it won't take the 5-7 days that they say it does.
Lol...enjoy your beer and fishing! Yeah, it took 1 day for Amazon to make their initial change deposits into my account. My bank wouldn't allow verify instantly. As for when I transfer my money, it takes 1 day also...which is nice!
I have a prepaid reload credit card. I have had it for over 3 years and use it as my bank account. I have my employment checks directly deposited into the account and everything. It has a routing number and bank account number. So I can and do use it as a bank account and a credit/debit card. It works just fine for me and I get my payments in like 2 days.
Hi! I am really new to this and am trying to understand how getting paid on mturk works. Unfortunately the actual FAQ's over on the mturk site are not really clear. I understand that (direct quote here)"Your money is held until you have been active on Mechanical Turk for 10 days.". My ten days are up but it seems like they are releasing my payments only a little at a time (example: I have $35 in approved hits & bonuses but my payments account only shows $23)? Anyone know how this works? Thanks in advance!
