I signed up for mturk and waited for my email to be approved. I finally got the approval email yet mturk still won't recognize me as an approved worker. I am still getting the message that my account is being reviewed and I need to wait for the email. Any suggestions?

Perhaps do as the email says and wait for approval?

    jb32hoops...

Have you had an email from MTurk which confirms you are approved for work?

Also, which country are you in. It might make a difference.

    Welcome jb32hoops,

Based on what others have posted here, it seems to be taking Amazon about two weeks to approve new workers. There doesn't seem to be anything you can do to speed up the process. Use this time to read the forum and learn as much as you can in the meantime.

Good luck, and I hope you get approved very soon. :)

Thanks for the replies. Yes I have received an approval email, that is why I am a little confused. I received the approval email which contained a link that redirected me to the mturk sign on page. When I tried to sign on from there it said I still hadn't been approved.....???? Oh well I guess I'll just wait longer. I am in the U.S.

Since they did send you an approval email, you might want to email them. This is a recent change (making people wait to be approved), and your problem might be due to a bug in their process that they don't know about. Or it could just be two separate systems/departments with poor communication. That happens at Amazon with amazing frequency. :/
