When I try to go and work on any hit the accept hit button is missing. The skip hit is there but not the accept. I cannot find any info as to why.
Sometimes this happens with pages that have A LOT to load. It will show up, but only after the HIT has fully loaded. Which requester? Or is it happening with any/all requesters?
Seems strange to me. The only thing I can think of is that the "accept" button will not show up until the page is completely loaded. LOL Whimsy
Hit button gone It does this with all Hit's. I thought it was just one until I tried others and it is missing. I don't think this is a load problem. The page completely loads and the button is not there even when I hoover over the area where the button is, it is not there. I was wondering if it has anything to do with my percentage rate or my abandon rate?
I don't think it has to do with your ratings. Even when I was restricted from doing HITs the buttons would show. To clarify the situation a bit more - would you try another browser and see if they're showing up? Like if you're using firefox now, try chrome or opera. If the button still doesn't show, then it's a technical issue and you may have to write to support. and i sniped ya on that one, stlrfn =P
No shouldnt be.. What is your Percentage rate? I was down to 85% one time after a mass-rejection and still had it. Maybe reboot or try a different browser?
My percentage rate is 95, but my abandon rate is 6%. I was kind of stunned by that. I rarely abandon any Hit's so I don't know how they came up with that. I will try IE and see what happens. Let you know.
I'm not sure, but I recommend Firefox over IE. It works well for me with turking. oh and you may have come across a bad cookie somewhere - clear your cookies/cache on Chrome and restart - see if that helps.
I have IE and haven't had problems with it. I agree, I hate IE but it's what came with the new computer I just purchased and haven't gotten around to downloading Firefox or Chrome. The only problems I've had with IE with some HITS is that some HITS do not allow their work to run on IE. That's rare tho.
LOL Flora, absolutely the VERY first thing I do on any new computer is get a decent browser installed. I will only open IE the once in order to facilitate this. If I could remove it I would, disgusting piece of microsoft virus. @ Stacy - did a flush of cookies and history in Chrome help any? In am using Chrome and haven't seen the problem you are having.
