Hi, Just did my first John Gaddy HIT. Great HITS! My problem, and it's probably something dumb I'm doing or not doing correctly, is that I cannot get my text to paste from word to the box on Mturk. I tried just copy/paste- didn't work. Then I tried the box that says paste from Word. I still can't get my text where it needs to be. Help please?
I just saw this, so I know it's too late. But, how did it turn out? I would suggest emailing him to anyone else who has a problem like this in the future. The HITs usually have a 6 hour window, so that's plenty of time for him to get back to you.
I ended up being able to copy/paste one line of my text at a time. Anymore than that and it simply wouldn't paste. I'm waiting to make sure he approves the HIT before trying another for him. If I have problems with a second one I will email him and ask about it. I hope I get approved and he keeps posting HITs- the writing ones haven't been real great lately.
He doesn't reject, not right away at least. If your work is deemed inadequate he will send you an email with a link to send in a rewrite within 24 hours to avoid rejection.
I did see a couple of hits around 4 AM sometime last week. Didn't see any after that, in 10 days or so.
