Until a day or two ago, I had 3000+ HITs completed, with one rejection, and that rejection was based on an automated system that erroneously rejected my HIT. I now suddenly have two more rejections with no explanation from worthless HITs that I did while I was bored. I'm tired of worrying endlessly about the whim or some idiot on the other side of the table telling me my work isn't good enough. I KNOW it's good enough. I do the work, and I'm excellent at it. From now on, unless I hear nothing but great things from more than a few of you on here, and I happen to see HITs up, I'm sitting it out and sticking with the ones that I know.
You could miss out on qualifications that way, or bad ass new requesters. You have 3 rejections and you're that upset?
Rejections are only significant as a percentage, IMO. I have 400 rejections (against 85,000+ to the good). It’s all relative.
^ What he said. Use your fave requesters to build up a buffer zone so you can handle a few rejections. You're gonna get them, for no reason sometimes, with no explanation. Email the requester (nicely, because they can block you for no reason, too) and try to get it reversed if possible. If not, suck it up and don't work for that jackass again. Use Turk Opticon, check the forums, and just be cautious with new requesters (do a handful of test HITs before going all in). And read my signature FFS.
Yeah, you really can't go getting all upset over a few rejections. I personally have 240 rejections which still leaves me at a 99.9% acceptance rate. As long as you are able to keep a good cushion through your positive requesters you should be able to handle the blow from a few stray rejections. They happen to the best of us.
Anymore i dont even notice rejections im so busy doing other hits.. rejections are a part of life and there part of mturk too..
